This 1963 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ7 Mk II was ordered new by the seller through Tourist International in July 1962 and delivered to Port Covington in Baltimore, Maryland, via the Cunard Steam-Ship Company in April 1963. Chassis HBJ7L22216 has since remained with the seller, who commissioned a four-year refurbishment completed by Tsikuris Classics of Lakeland, Florida, in 1998. Work involved repainting the body in red and re-trimming the interior in red leather as well as rebuilding the 2.9-liter inline-six and retrofitting a Toyota-sourced five-speed manual transmission. Chrome 72-spoke wire wheels, latch-and-link lap belts, dual fuel pumps, a stainless-steel exhaust system, and a replacement black soft top were also added as part of the project, and the car is further equipped with a Moto Lita steering wheel, dual SU carburetors, and front disc brakes. This 3000 Mk II is now offered with a Body Production Card, sales and importation documents, and other vehicle literature in addition to a rebuilt four-speed manual transmission, a spare set of wire wheels, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
