This 2004 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is one of 2,025 Commemorative Edition models produced to celebrate the C5-R’s class victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was first delivered to Miller Chevrolet in Matteson, Illinois, and spent time in multiple states before being acquired by the seller in 2023 with 17k miles. The car is powered by a 5.7-liter LS6 V8 linked to a six-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential and is finished in Le Mans Blue over black leather upholstery. Equipment includes Commemorative Edition-specific polished lightweight wheels, a carbon-fiber hood, racing stripes, and a titanium exhaust system as well as the Memory Package, pop-up headlights, a head-up display, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, a Bose sound system, and a CD stereo. This C5 Z06 is now offered with a window sticker, service records, a front-end cover, a car cover, promotional items, two keys and fobs, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.The C5 Z06 was only offered as a fixed-roof coupe for increased chassis stiffness and featured a quad-exit titanium exhaust system, mesh grille inserts, and weight-saving measures such as thinner glass and reduced sound deadening when compared to the standard C5. All 2004 Commemorative Edition Z06 models were finished in Le Mans Blue (19U) with silver and red decal stripes adorning the roof, decklid, and carbon-fiber hood. Additional features include commemorative Le Mans badging, pop-up headlights, a Corvette-branded front plate cover, and rear brake vents.The polished 17″ and 18″ lightweight alloy wheels wear Commemorative Edition center caps and are mounted with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The Z06 suspension featured a larger front stabilizer bar, increased damping, and a higher spring rate than the standard Corvette. The car is equipped with active handling and traction control systems, speed-sensitive rack-and-pinion power steering, and ventilated disc brakes at all four corners.The cabin features two seats upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a head-up display, an aftermarket center console cover, dual-zone automatic climate control, an onboard computer, cruise control, electrochromic mirrors, an aftermarket shifter, and a Bose sound system with an in-dash CD player.The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline along with gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 17k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership. The 5.7-liter LS6 V8 was based upon the contemporary LS1 and features a refined aluminum block, a higher-lift camshaft, a 10.5:1 compression ratio, and increased air and oil flow. Factory-rated output for the 2004 model year was 405 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Noted service included replacing the battery in November 2021 and recharging the air conditioning system in June 2022.Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox and a 3.42:1 limited-slip differential.
