Engine270 RED RAM

This car was originally sold in Henrietta, TX (still has the original dealership sticker on the trunk lid) and lived its life between there and Lubbock, TX until it was bought and driven back to Tamp, FL in 2002. This car has only had 4 owners in its 67 years. It has been pampered and garage-kept for the last 20 years here in Tampa, FL. This is truly a survivor-car with original engine, paint, glass, & interior. This car is great the way it is or an outstanding candidate as a Resto-Mod Project. As of February 21, 2022 this car has ONLY 31,707 original miles on it. This original engine is the 270 V8 Red Ram Polyspheric (predecessor to the Hemi Engine). It is attached the PowerFlight 2 Speed Automatic Transmission. This car runs on a 6 Volt Electrical System. It likes, at the least, to be started in the garage and backed out a couple times a week to keep the fluids and system spry. The dash clock and tube radio do not work, but there are companies that can repair the clock and retro-fit the radio to house modern FM technology. In the Glovebox is a reproduction Owner’s Manual as well as an original map of Texas from 1958 that the first owners used. In the Trunk is the original Car Jack System. There is also a Pillow that the Original Owner’s Wife would use to put behind her back. This car will come with its Original Four Wheels and Hub Caps. The current Tires are B.F. Goodrich 3 7/8 inch Whitewalls that are designed after the type of tires used in the 50’s with a smaller tread width for easier turns with manual steering. They are mounted on 100 Spoke Chrome Knock-Off Rims. As an added look, a Multi-Color Option & Effects L.E.D. System is installed out of sight around the underside the car and Green Neon for the Front Footwell and inside of the Trunk Space. These 2 Light Systems run off of a small Duracell 12-9NB Battery that is tucked away in the trunk. Both, the 6 Volt Engine Battery & 12 Volt Lighting Battery (to recharge after use) has their own Maintainer with Desulfator that keeps the battery fresh and charged when not in use for longer periods of time.
